Paper Players Challenge #146

Good evening once more!
I'm pretty sure I will make this my last post of the day. I believe I've set a personal record. ; )  But being caught up is a nice feeling.

My last card I wish to share is for the Paper Players Clean & Simple Masculine Challenge this week.

I robbed some of my husband's very own "stash" (Don't let them act like they don't have one, too!) and pulled out some hardware and electrical tape. I love how this one turned out paired with the Kraft cardstock and white and black pigment inks.

This one became even more special today b/c it is actually being used! I got it in the mail today to encourage a young man we know about to go through a Bone Marrow Transplant. I hope it will make him smile, if only for a moment.

The circles and other intresting stamps are actually the heads of nails, screws, and bolts that I dabbed in my white pigment ink and "stamped" with onto my card. It was a lot of fun to play around with what type of images I could create using the different pieces. The washers and nut are real and glued onto my card over the strips of black electrical tape. The sentiment is from Verve stamps and the black twine is The Twinery.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Mandy, Love your incorporation of electrical tape. So cool! I also love the black and cream color combination. Best wishes to your friend - he'll love it. Thanks for playing along with The Paper Players this week.

  2. How cool is this! Electrical tape is the male version of washi tape! I love it. The little washers and nut...and the white images are the perfect touches! Thanks for playing with The Paper Players!

  3. This is totally amazing! I was wondering where you got those "stamps"!!! I think my DH has quite a stash of ALL of this stuff that I could raid!
