Christmas Card Challenge #26 - Color Inspiration

Hello!

I'm popping in really quickly to share the card I made for this week's current Christmas Card Challenge! I apologize for posting so late - I've been up to my neck in paint, urethane, stains, cleaning and more! LOL! Having much fun, but I'm struggling to keep up with my "normal" duties - ESPECIALLY the grocery shopping and cooking. Yuck!

Here is the beautiful color challenge :

I used my Tim Holtz Mini Blueprints stamp with Avery Elle Fog pigment ink over MFT Soft Stone cardstock. It looks great together BTW. It's layered over a darker gray cardstock that I had in my stash. (Maybe DCWV) The diecut 'joy' is from Reverse Confetti and the stamped sentiment is from PTI Enclosed Bell stamp set. I layered some Pure Poppy cardstock over a strip of patterned paper from my Lawn Fawn Snow Day 6x6 paper pad.

Thanks SO much for stopping by to visit! Please hop on over and check out the fun at the Christmas Card Challenges!

ABC Christmas Challenge - K for Kissing

Hello!

ABC Christmas Challenge

I'm popping in tonight to quickly share my card for the current ABC Christmas Challenge - K is for Kissing. (Yes, I'm behind. Please forgive. We are still working around on the house and I'm so distracted from my normal routine. I love it though. I think it's fun stuff.)

The Hubby and I spent the afternoon doing some home improvement projects outside and now I'm relaxing on the front porch rockers with The Sultan. They've been playing with their new friends outside and at each other's houses so much, I feel like I haven't seen them at all! I had to go upstairs and find this one and ask him to come sit with me. LOL! They go escape in their rooms and I'll realize I haven't seen them for hours and ask The Hubby where they are. :) A new phase in life!

So onto the fun. Enough about that. My "Kissing" card! I didn't have anything I felt adequately fit this category - so I had some fun with my Silhouette. I don't do that nearly enough so this was a good excuse to do it.

I cut the mistletoe two different times in different sizes and flipped horizontally for the larger cut. I used MFT Limelight cardstock for the mistletoe and PTI Raspberry Fizz cardstock. I stamped a light background on the card base using Latte Pigment ink (Amuse Studio) and the Wonky Chevron background stamp. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Christmas Sampler.  A very quick card! :)

Please hop on over to check out the fun at the ABC Christmas Challenge and play along if you have the time. It's the most fun. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit!

Prize: 3 digital images (does not include designer papers)

I think it just screams summer birthday! My sisters birthday is today, so I thought of her when I made my card. That photo is something she would totally put together in a heartbeat, too. :) So it was perfect!

I had fun with a new-to-me  Lawn Fawn set, Baked With Love.

I used some MFT background goodies to spiff it up, the Diagonal Stripes stencil with Worn Lipstick Distress Inks is on the focal piece die cut using the Stitched Mini Scallop rectangle. I then stamped the Typewriter Text background stamp using Summer Splash ink to coordinate with my cute little cake stand. :)

Since I wanted my "icing" to remain white, I tipped my C1 Copic Sketch marker in the right hand corners and then covered it all in clear Wink of Stella for some fun sparkle. I also added a few tiny sequins for a touch more sumpin-sumpin.

I'm also playing along with the current Lawnscaping Challenge - "Sparkle It Up".

Thank you for stopping by! Please come back again soon AND hop on over to the ATSM blog for more inspiration and play along with the fun! :)

You're My Favorite --- and On My Way Back!

Hello!

I'm actually popping in this morning to share a "just for fun" card! My first one in quite some time. Wow. It's been a crazy few weeks! :) But, I'm getting things back under control and loving every minute of it. We are getting settled and things are starting to feel like "home". (Most of the time.) :)

I wanted to play with some new MFT goodies I had to buy a few weeks ago. (Just because I wasn't crafting doesn't mean I wasn't shopping.....GULP! Please don't tell The Hubs!) So I'm playing along with the MFT sketch challenge. My first time in eons!

And my "Get back in the game" card:

I paper pieced the bunnies from the Snuggle Bunnies stamp set because I wasn't feeling the mojo this weekend with my Copic markers. I'm still a big ole Newb with them and usually love experimenting, but I probably scrap more than I actually use. Sometimes I think it's my limited color selection? Just doesn't work with what I'm doing. Anyhoo, I put them up and had better luck.

I still used the dies to cut the base layer that I stamped on white cardstock. Then trimmed and adhered my colored pieces to those die cut bunnies. I added accents with a Copic markers for better detail (thank you very much - not all was lost) and they turned out pretty cute!

Before sticking anything on the card base, I stamped the Geometric Grid background in Gray Hare pigment ink (Color Box). I sponged Distress inks (Fossilized Amber and Broken China) for the little background and then added the grassy die cut MFT chevron paper over the sweet bunnies.

Here are some close ups because the fabulous, subtle background isn't picked up in the photo.

And a close up for the paper piecing:

I finished this one off with a matching inside (Which I NEVER do) because I know where this one is going already. Mailbox today!

I'm also playing along with The Card Concept's "You Are My Sunshine" challenge - with my card in the Clean and Simple category.

Well, that's all for me this time! It's good to be back and breaking things back in - even though it's slowly. Back to my housework now! ;) After all, a woman's work is never done!

God Bless,
Mandy

Christmas Card Challenges #25 - Photo Inspiration

Hello!

I'm back with another weekly challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week's challenge is a Photo Inspiration challenge.

I decided to use up a bunch of paper strips I had in my Christmas paper stash.

I used a Spellbinders scalloped circle die and MFT Stitched Circle die for my accent piece. I stamped the sentiment in MFT Hybrid Black ink using the Gift Tag Greetings stamp set. I finished it off with red bakers twine. Super easy and quick to make! And great way to use up some of those paper strips that are so hard to dump. 8-)

Thanks SO much for stopping by to visit! Don't forget to check out the fun over at CCC!

Addicted To Stamps Challenge # 127 - Lace & Pearls

Hello!

Our banner for your blog

I'm popping in on a beautiful, breezy Sunday afternoon to share a card for the latest ATSC challenge - Lace & Pearls! It's all about feminine this time - always fun to have an excuse to go that direction. Since I normally don't use much of either on my cards, it was a fun challenge to work into my project.

I watercolored (With Zig pens) the Botannical Bunch stamps from WPlus9. I used watercolor paper and then die cut with MFT's Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Banners before layering it over to paper lacey, doily hearts I split to lose the heart shape. That's as close to lace as I could come up with in my stash. :)  I trimmed a small paper banner from MFT Pink Lemonade cardstock and stamped the sentiment from WPlus9's Strictly Sentiments 2. (I love the font!) Everything is layered on a Kraft card base, Neenah Cardstock.

That's all for me today! Don't forget to stop by the ATSC challenge and check out the fun, peruse the gallery for inspiration!

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit.

I'm popping in (Late! EEKS!) to share my latest card for this week's Christmas Card Challenge. This week is Anything Goes so it's a great time to play along and stock up on this year's Christmas Cards!

My patterned paper panel is from Lawn Fawn's "Let's Bokeh" 6x6 pad and the wreath is stamped from PTI's Deck the Halls stamp set. I layered it over a white cardstock circle panel cut using MFT's Stitched Circles DieNamics. I stamped the sentiment using the same stamp set and WPlus9's Coconut Husk dye ink.

That's all for me today! Off to get some more work done in the crafty space. :) Please don't forget to pop over to the Christmas Card Challenge blog and join in the fun!

PDE Linky Party

Hello!

I'm popping in to share a fun post for my monthly share for the PDE Linky Party. So fun - anything goes - so super easy to play along!

With our recent move, I've opened boxes and found St. Patrick's Day décor in my little seasonal frame that I like to update using my Silhouette, burlap, and Glitter HTV. So, that had to be rectified pretty quickly. Ha! It shouldn't matter, but the cute little shamrock had to go! :-)

I traced some bunny clip art and added "spring" using Ballerina Script font (found at dafont.com) and cut it out from pink glitter HTV. Stick it in my spray painted thrift store frame and Voila! All done. :) And my daughter loves it. So that's an added bonus.

Anything goes at all - so come play along! Décor, sewing, paper crafting, etc.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit! Please do so again soon!

God Bless,
Mandy

ABC Christmas Challenge - "J" for Jewels

Hello!

It's time for another fun challenge over at the ABC Christmas Card Challenge. It's just the most fun -- a new challenge every two weeks based on a different letter of the alphabet. I love it!

To main Blog

Our sponsor this challenge is:

Fred She Said

Photobucket

$10 gift certificate

Fred She Said Designs offers a wide variety of digital products with a floral flair and cute characters too - Digi's, Pre-coloured images, Papers, Sets, Fred's Flower Kits, and even digital cutting files.

This week we are on letter 'J' and the theme is Jewels. I used adhesive pearls for my jewel accents.

I've used all retired Close To My Heart products on this one! And the fun trick is the little scalloped flap on the front actually drops down when the twine is untied and a slot is available for a gift card. I accented my stamped accents with the adhesive pearls - even adding some to the swirls on the package (sadly, they don't show in the photo!).

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit! Please come back again soon and please pop on over to the ABC Christmas Challenge blog! It's the most fun! :)

Addicted to Stamps & More #193 - Holiday

Hello!

I'm popping in with another fun card for the new challenge over at Addicted To Stamps & More. This time it's all about Holidays. That's always fun - and so many to choose from!

Since Memorial Day is coming up, I went with a fun patriotic theme.

This image (and sentiment) is stamped from a retired Close To My Heart set on Crate Paper patterned paper and layered over muted blue and coral for a different take on patriotic colors. The edges are scissor distressed and sponged ink distressed. One of my favorite embellies on this one is the Distress Glitter. I just colored some lines with a glue pen on the edges and shook the glitter over it. Then layered my sequins and veneer stars over top. Easy peasy! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit! Please do so again soon --- and please don't forget to hop on over to Addicted to Stamps & More for more inspiration and play along with the Holiday fun.

Christmas Card Challenges - Week #23 Color Challenge

Hello!

I'm back with another fun challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This week is a color challenge in beautiful "non-traditional" holiday colors. So pretty. Come join the fun and stock up on your Christmas cards for this winter. Your holiday-addled-brain will thank yourself for it later!

I "messed up" my card by throwing in the red! oops! It was too late to change once I realized it and I was SO happy with it on there, I just went wild and crazy and left it. :) I used patterned papers from My Mind's Eye (stripe) and Recollections (natural berries). The stamp is from PTI Think Big Favorites #19 mini set. I printed the sentiment from my computer. This one was a prototype for a mass production card. :)

Thanks SO much for stopping by to visit! Please come back again soon!

2 Creative Chicks Showcase #10

Hello!

I'm popping in to share a fun and easy card I have for this month's Creative Showcase over at 2 Creative Chicks. :)  It's always Anything Goes so come play along and have some fun - be inspired. It's always a great gallery of beautiful projects.
2 Creative Chicks

My creative showcase features some stripey masking fun. I loved playing around with the ink colors. 8-) I was inspired by a tutorial I watched by Laura Bassen using inks, sponges, masking tape, and grid paper. I didn't like how my stripes turned out once I removed my masks so I die cut the stitched circle using MFT DieNamics. It's popped up on foam tape over strips of Lawn Fawn paper scraps and anchored with the black cardstock sentiment strip, with a MFT sentiment white embossed. Super easy and fun to make!

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit! Please come back again soon!
