FTL #179

My final post for the night! Whew!

I loved the Clean and Simple Stamping sketch this week. I think this is my first time to participate and since I had some new stamps to break in Saturday - I thought it very fitting!

Here is my card using StazOn Timber Brown ink, a Skipping Stones Design stamp set, CTMH Water color pencils, Olive ink, and Cocoa cardstock, and a Fiskars corner rounder.

Simple can be fun - I loved experimenting with this one.

Card Patterns 154

A wonderful weekend here - and I hope y'all are enjoying the fabulous weather as much as we are in TN. It was beautiful all weekend. I even got a couple of nice walks in, raising my spirits thanks to the fresh air and sunshine!

I loved the CardPatterns sketch this week.

For this card I used some of my my favorite CTMH paper I keep stashed away for special occasions. This one I made for a very close friend struggling with a new diagnosis.

My favorite paper combined with some new goodies from Skippping Stones Design and My Craft Spot yielded one of my favorite cards in a while.

Card base and pearl gems: Recollections; "Wings" Patterned paper, black scroll sticker,
Antique Copper brad: CTMH; Vanilla Bean crinkle ribbon: My Craft Spot; Stamps: Skipping Stones
Design; Desert Sand ink: CTMH; Black Versa ink: Tsukineko.

Friday Mashup #47 and PDCC #120

I have been putting off making a baby card for a gift I need to send with my daughter to school. (Typical) -- I let the Play Date Colors inspire me, because they seemed PERFECT for a baby boy card! They are beautiful.

I combined with the Friday Mashup challenge and came up with a darling baby boy card.....

  2. Or Make a "Round" project.

H2H 2.20.12 and Color Throwdown #180

Squeee! Look at the time!   I allowed myself an hour to casually post my crafty projects from this weekend and have allowed myself to be distracted by the drama and fast-paced action of this week's Castle episode. :)   I LOOOVE that show! I am snuggly in bed with the tv on and some blogging ahead of me - great ending to a great weekend!

For my first post of the night, I combined an H2H sketch with the Color Throwdown colors.

I used CTMH colors Heavenly Blue, Goldrush, Sunny Yellow, and Grey Wool. The sentiment is from "Card Chatter - Sympathy".

All products used are CTMH:
Patterned Paper - Splendor; Creme Brulee Bakers Twine, Sunny Yellow Cardstock,
Art Philosphy Cricut Cartridge (3-D flower), Licorice kit Opague gems, Grey Wool ink pad (stamped
sentiment and inked edges).

Colour Q #125 and Mojo Monday sketch #229

I am here for a quick post, then off to bed! I've been absent from my crafty time for several days due to jobs popping up around the house. And, it seems like someone has been sick here or we've had company for the past few weeks.

I took a break tonight and hid out in my room after I got everyone to bed! (Hubby included!) I worked on the Mojo Monday sketch and the Colour Q colors for this week. I haven't used a Mojo sketch in quite some time and this week's appealed to me even more than usual.

The Colour Q colors reminded me of a DCWV paper stack I got for Christmas. I used my CTMH stamp sets, "Something Splendid" for the flower and the February Stamp of the Month, "Thoughtful Tidings".  My CTMH colors were Crystal Blue, Topiary, and Barn Red.

Colour Q Challenge #123

Fun colors over at Colour Q this week! I had more ideas than I had time tonight. :) But that's nothing unusual.

They reminded me of my "You're Sweet" stamp set from CTMH. One of my favorites. I haven't had it for very long, but I haven't given it the attention it deserves in any respect.

The Idea Book display for this stamp set in a prior issue showed the lemon slices used as a banner and I loved it! I went with that idea and expanded on it as I've been tempted to do since seeing it. The end result turned out better than expected in some ways, even though the card doesn't look exactly as I had pictured. I'm pleased with it overall and plan to use it as a Birthday Card this week for our nanny.

CTMH: ink colors - Tulip, Smoothie, and Cotton Candy (Sweet Leaf - 2nd generation); Sunset and Tulip brads; "You're Sweet" stamp set;
Tulip Ribbon; Recollections (Michael's):  pink rhinestone gems; Making Memories: Pink brads; Papertrey Ink: white cardstock; Tsukinkeo - Versa Fine ink, Onyx

Don't forget to check out the inspiring artwork over at the Colour Q blog. Thanks for looking! Pin It

Color Throwdown 177

This weeks colors over at Color Throwdown reminded me of my "new" favorite CTMH paper kit, "Roxie". Yummy!

I paired Black cardstock and Smoothie colored patterned paper with a sketch I've loved from Card Ideas for Paper Crafters (pg. 26). I was excited to finally make a version of this card.

The White Daisy ribbon, flower "bling" brad, sentiment paper strip, rose stamp and ink (Smoothie and Olive) are all CTMH.

H2H - 3D projects

A first for me! I've never been big on doing 3D projects - just not my forte. But with the new AP cartridge and a fun suggestion from a fellow scrapbooker at a crop last weekend, I've had the most fun making little Valentine gift bags with my daughter. I made my own version as a model for her to see and she's been making them for her classroom to take to school. We enjoyed "playing" all Saturday afternoon.

Here is my gift bag; I plan for this one to go to the Hubby complete with his favorite candy and gift card to his favorite places.

All products are CTMH with the exception of the pink "furry" ribbon, from Adornaments by EK Success.

This little project was loads of fun and a "new" project for me. Thanks for looking! Hope you have had a fabulous weekend. Be sure to check out the other 3D projects linked up at H2H. Pin It
