I'm excited to say that the last week or two I have been in a scrapbooking mode vs. a card design mode. This is a good thing since I really could stand to make more layouts of all my cute pictures of our piglets. That is what first drew me to papercrafting and I feel I'm nothing if not true to my first love. Hee hee. (And, the good part is the kids LOVE to look at the pages of themselves. They have gone through their baby albums scads of times. ..I'm choosing to see this as an adorable little childhood curiosity rather than evidence of an overzealous narcissistic nature. I'm sure they are TOTALLY normal and I have not messed them up in anyway! No way, not me. Nuh-uh!)
The Wonderland paper kit from CTMH was one of my favorite kits this year. And, the good favorite - like I-can't-wait-to-use-it-I-have-so-many-great-ideas favorite; not like my unhealthy hoarding problem favorite I shamefully admit I have (notice this is STILL present tense; not yet overcome this one) with the "Dreamin' " kit. It's a "oh-that-is-SO-pretty-I'm-afraid-I'll-never-do-it-justice-so-I'm-scared-to-cut-it" favorite. They both excite me, but one is far more productive than the other. I'll give you three guesses....
The blue and amethyst (that's purple to non-CTMH'ers and orchid to non-CTMH'ers but color shade experts like my mom) are so pretty together! I love blue and every shade of it, so can't go wrong here. I also love the plaid/argyle patterns so this is a two-fer!
I used this kit as an excuse to catch up on the snow pictures I had from last year. We are in TN and we don't get very much snow. Last year had to be some sort of record for us. The kids had snowball fights and built snowmen. They were in hawg heaven. (Never mind parents had to strain to find short-notice child care for all the school closings in order to avoid being fired; the kids were happy and that's what it's all about.)
Here is one of my favorite layouts from CTMH (this one came with the "Splendor" WOTG kit, 1 or 2 summers ago --- DON'T tell me; I don't want to know.)
I used the adorable stamp set that came with the WOTG kit for the mittens, the cuppa joe, and the sentiment "You warm my heart". Since I don't have Amethyst ink, I used second generation Gypsy (my only purple ink!) and Twilight blue ink to make the sentiment show up on the colored paper. The Irresistables chipboard pieces are inked in Crystal Blue ink and I also added a few of the snowflake brads from the coordinating Mistletoe accessories. All edges are inked with Grey Wool ink. The title is stamped with the Trinity Alpha E-size stamp set. It is a good one! (That is new, also, and I am really looking for ways to use it. ha!)

Thanks for looking. Have a great week!

This turned out so cute! I LOVE how you balanced the large picture on one page with the grid on the other, and the stamped elements make fabulous embellishments. I must get to work on my neglected layouts!
