A "cold" front has moved into our area and I'm not going to lie - it is blissful. It just makes everything seem so much more fun. High 70's - Low 80's for almost a week - I'll take that anyday.
I took advantage of some free time this afternoon to make the first of a series of Christmas cards for a good friend's birthday in November. I plan to make the set using the CTMH "Ms. Holiday" stamp set. I think she will really like it.
I decided to use the sketch from Retro Sketches this week. I want to use up several sheets of Christmas paper I have from Scenic Route and a CTMH Mini-Medley set that has been growing mold in my stash. Out with the old - in with the new! (hopeful on the "in with the new" part)
Here is my card using the supplies I mentioned:
The green cardstock in this case is a leftover piece of BoBunny paper. The green was more solid than what I had from Scenic Route (I'm not wild about a crazy print as a mat) and it matched the ribbon really well. I colored Ms. Holiday in with General's Chalk Pencils and smoothed it out using my CTMH Blending Pen. I stamped part of her image again and trimmed only the sack and adhered it. The white on her hem, collar, and headpiece is covered in Fun Flock for extra fun. For any of you who watch The Big Bang Theory, it's "Zazzy".
Thanks for looking and visiting my blog. Have a great weekend!
