Hi There Summer Scene

Hello!

I'm here today - and trying to get in the groove! It's only the first full day with The Piglets back at school, but I'm trying to go on like it's a "normal" day. LOL. It always takes me a couple of weeks to adjust to them not being here. I admit - I was a little sad when I dropped them off this morning. Hubby says that's ok because I'm the mama. But, I feel a little silly, honestly. They drive me crazy laying around like a lazy cat all day, but when they aren't here, I'm bummed. Clearly, I can't be pleased! haha! :)

So, I'm going to share a card I've made that I love and stay busy as best as I can. :) (The new sleep schedule hasn't quite settled in for me either. I'm TIRED.)

I used my Let's Play set from Lawn Fawn and oodles of patterned paper scraps to paper piece this whole scene.

Everything is from the Lawn Fawn set I mentioned with the exception of the Curly Clouds Paper Smooches dies and the Snow Drift dies from MFT I used for the ground. :) It was relaxing to sit and trim these and watch a little mindless TV.

I was inspired by the current Patterns Challenge over at Lawnscaping

I"m also playing along with Die Cut Divas - Summer Vacations and the Critters & Creatures Linky Party

Digi Baby Sea Turtle Love

Hello!

I'm popping in tonight to share a fun little card I crafted today in my limited crafty time this morning. The Piglets went back to school today, but only for a half day. I had a short time to tidy up and take care of some things (including a card! 8-} ) before I had to go back and pick them up. I am sad for them to go back, as always, but do prefer us all being on a "schedule". I just hate missing out on our outside time in the evenings. If you live in the humid South, that's the only time to enjoy the great outdoors. :( Boo. About the time they have to shower and get ready for bed is the best time to be outside! Drat. The good news is they are excited to go back - even though they miss being at home. I miss them being here - that's for sure. :)

On to my card! I used the Digi Baby Sea Turtle from Digi Box Designs to create this fairly CAS card.

I colored him up with Copic markers after printing on 110lb. Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used my Silhouette PixScan mat to cut him out and he's layered over scraps of pinked-edge paper using foam tape. I stamped the "hi" border using the Salutations stamps from Paper Smooches. I used a scrap of Lawn Fawn "hello sunshine" paper at the top corner and layered a hand-trimmed "How R U" stamp from Altenew's Label Love set. I finished it all off with twine tied through a button. Easy-peasy! :)

I'm playing along with the Cut It Up - Summertime Memories challenge, Inkspirational - 'Dip' word prompt challenge, and Just Us Girls - Water challenge.

Christmas Card Challenges #35 - Photo Inspiration

Hello!

I'm bringing up the rear for Christmas Card Challenges this week! Oops! I got a little distracted this weekend (last weekend before school started back and house guest among other things!) and didn't post my card here.

I went Old School this challenge by using some paper scraps and punches for this card. Hee hee.

I used pieces from Recollections Naughty or Nice 12x12 pad, My Mind's Eye All is Bright, and CTMH Snowhaven packet. You can tell I was really using up things from the old well here. :D I have a pseudo-ban on paper purchases at my house - not to say that a small pad or two doesn't eek in when I find a deal or patterns that I use up and need more of, but I refuse to "paper shop" for a LONG time.

Snowflakes from MFT's Winter Warmth set are white embossed on punched circles of CTMH Glacier cardstock. My sentiment is from Paper Smooches Christmas Sampler, white embossed on a black trimmed strip. I used a tiny blue button and black PTI twine as my only embellishment.

Please hop on over to CCC and check out more Christmas-y inspiration! It's time to start stocking up on your holiday cards if you haven't already. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit!

Hello! I'm so happy to be here as a Sponsor for ABC Christmas Challenge! Sami Stamps provides a variety of high quality Digital Stamps in both JPEG and PNG formats.  I hope you enjoy crafting with Sami Stamps images as much as I enjoy illustrating them!

Here is my card using some Paper Smooches goodies:

I used scrap papers from all in my stash (Yay me. Use those babies UP!) and the Freezy Fellas stamp set, Icognito stamp set, Sentiment Sampler stamp set, and the Curly Clouds dies.

I pieced together my sentiment using two different sets and shook things up for a non-traditional Christmas card. Fun to do some different colors and themes than I have been doing. I used MFT Stitched Snow Drifts for the "ground" beneath the sweet little snowman.

:)

I'm also playing along with the following challenges:

Paper Smooches - Friendship
The Paper Players - Tic Tac Toe (die cut, patterned paper, enamel dots)
Just Us Girls - "Let's Hear It for the Girls" (girly card)
Thanks SO much for stopping by to visit! I have more paper piecing fun coming up in my next post - so do please come back by. :) And head on over to ABC Christmas Challenge for more fun and inspiration!

God Bless,
Mandy
