CASology Revisited and Freshly Made Sketches

Hello!

I'm cheating tonight because it is late and I still want to share the cards I made today when I took a little "play time" up in my crafty space. I worked on a marathon of some of my favorite shows I had DVR'd and it was so relaxing. Especially after spending the morning cleaning house.

The first I want to share is one I made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I used some scraps from my CTMH Dakota paper pack and PTI Splat stamp set:
I was pleased with how it turned out. I outlined each of the paper strips with a journaling pen before I adhered them and, also, outlined the base of the card. I stamped the hello splat in Rasberry Fizz ink, trimmed, and adhered with foam tape for dimension. The enamel stars are CTMH and the white dots from MME. Added a little black twine from PTI to finish it off. Super simple and fun. It has a fun little look to it, I think.

My next two cards are for fun.  I was just playing around with different inks and stamps and what not. Both go along with CASology's Rainbow cue card.

While tidying up my packages of enamel dots and condensing packages (please tell me I'm not the only crafter who keeps them in original product packaging and then finds multiple packs with only one or two dots left in it!) I ran across this rainbow stencil from Simon Says Stamp that I forgot I owned. I was watching TV and decided "why not? Let's just play." It turned out cute. I tried a couple of other things first that I didn't like but this one is all right. I kinda like it. The sentiment is also Simon Says Stamp - Color and Sunshine set. The yummy Teal Glitter Tape is from CTMH. I just sponged my inks over the stencil, CTMH - Pear, Dutch Blue, Honey, Holiday Red, and Sunset.

I wanted to make another one with my Happy Hexagons (PTI) after seeing some of the DT inspiration. I love this little stamp set, but now that it's a older I don't use it as much. I'm the world's worst about that! I used a piece of Distress WaterColor cardstock and spritzed the inked stamp with water prior to stamping. The birthday sentiment is also PTI, from the Boutique Borders set. The enamel stars are CTMH. [You can tell they are new because I've used them twice today and you will see them more, I am sure!]

Well that's it for me tonight. Thanks so much for stopping by and hanging in with all my cards!

God Bless,
Mandy
