Lovely Thinking of You

Hello!

I'm popping in with a quick late night post. I'm cutting it close with a Muse Challenge share. I had a little spare time this afternoon before we went back to evening worship services and I was inspired by the Muse Challenge. It was the perfect excuse to ink up my recently acquired Hi Lovely stamp and die set by SSS.

This pic is the cute inspiration piece:

Here is my interpretation:

I used the above mentioned stamp and die set for the flowers, sentiment and stamped dots at the bottom of my panel. The dots are clear heat embossed over Black VersaFine ink. I then sponged Distress Inks, (Peacock Feathers, Broken China, and Salty Ocean), before diecutting the whole panel using the stitched rectangle from MFT's Blueprints 13. The glitter banner is Shimmer Tape from CTMH. My card base is True Black PTI cardstock.

More of my inspiration came from a recent Jennifer McGuire video I ran across while doing some searches for PrismaColor tutorials. I loved the idea of adding depth and details to stamped images using the color pencils. I loved her easy method for tucking a twine bow into the flowers and used that tip here. Even I can do it! :D

I am also playing along (again) with CASology's "Line" Cue Card challenge this week and CASual Friday's "Embossing" Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit!

God Bless,
Mandy

  4. This is beautiful, Mandy. I really like the orange and fuchsia color combination. The pop of turquoise with the black at the bottom is super too. Melissa
